PANIC DOESN’T HELP
My first thought was, “This is the Devil!”
All twelve of us in the boat did what we could,
But our efforts for survival proved useless.
We lost control.
Yelling at each other didn’t change anything either.
STRUGGLING WELL DOESN’T HELP
We do this for a living.
We know how to struggle well,
Yet at the end of ourselves,
We resigned to dying.
WONDERING WHAT TO DO?
I don’t know how it’s possible that Jesus slept through this uproar.
His head rested on a cushion.
In desperation I rushed to him and shook him, “Lord wake up! Don’t you realize we’re about to die?”
He rubbed his eyes, stretched, stood up, and asked, “Why are you so frightened? I’m here.”
“Lord if you can do anything, save us!”
