WATCH THIS
When a picture starts focusing in my mind it can be exciting to watch.
Little by little it becomes clearer and clearer.
Often for me Christian music helps form a fresh picture.
It does because a song triggers a new image to a familiar topic or idea.
I enjoy this.
Maybe you will too.
HERE”S HOW IT WORKS
For example consider the theme of heaven from these three songs:
Crystal Lewis “People Get Ready” (http://www.lyricskeeper.com/crystal_lewis-lyrics/121252-people_get_ready-lyrics.htm). 2 Peter 3: 3-4 was a background verse for the inspiration of this song.
Steven Curtis Chapman longed for heaven in “Heaven is the Face.” Steven and his wife Mary Beth have endured the heartbreaking loss of their five-year-old daughter Maria. (http://www.metrolyrics.com/heaven-is-the-face-lyrics-steven-curtis-chapman.html)
And a third example is the song by Mercyme “I Can Only Imagine.” The lyrics make me reflect on the moment when this temporary life is over and I’m face-to-face with Jesus. Can you visualize that moment? (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/mercyme/icanonlyimagine.html).
SEE DAZZLING COLORS
Of course you have the God-given ability to make any topic or idea fresh.
As you live today my prayer is that you will keep your faith fresh by allowing Christ to reverberate his music in and through you.
This is one simple trick for you to move forward and keep your days fresh.
Picture it.
What does it look like for you?
