I paced the floor and just said what I decided to say,
Me: “I’m disappointed in you.”
God: Yes, I know how you feel.
Me: It was a good plan. I asked for your help.
God: You wanted me to sign-off on it?
God: So you worked out all the angles?
Me: I did.
God: Can we talk about this?
Me: Why would we?
God: Just because if you’re able to listen I have something valuable to say.
Me: Oh, alright.
God: All right let’s try this. When you asked you told me what you wanted.
God: You weren’t thinking of what I wanted or even what’s best for you.
Me: I …
God: I’m not surprised by your behavior.
Me: But I …
God: Exactly, you only considered the situation from your limited perspective.
Me: Well I …
God: You forgot to wonder what I wished for and for what was the best long range.
God: For your sake I do what’s best.
Me: It was a simple request.
God: Yes, it was.
God: Fortunately my plan isn’t influenced by your manipulation.
Me: My life is in your hands?
God: It is. In my wisdom, seeing the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning, I decide what will happen.
Me: What should I do?
God: Include me. Invite me into your day, cooperate and then trust I’ll do what’s perfect.
ME: My cooperation can’t be overrated, right?
GOD: There is hope for you.
