The crowd of people pushed to get close.
“Come on! Jesus is here!”
Noise of pleas were relentless.
- “Jesus touch me!!”
- “Jesus heal my blindness!”
- “Jesus you can make me well!”
He never refused anyone respect or attention.
Jarius, a leader of a local synagogue, fought for breath and looked frightened. In desperation he said, “My daughter is twelve. She’s dying! Please come and place your hands on her. Heal her so she can live!”
“Yes, certainly,” he answered, “Let’s go.”
All of the crowd followed Jesus, Jarius leading the way.
No one noticed her working her way through the crowd moving ever closer to him.
- No one knew her story.
- No one knew her suffering.
- No one knew her courage.
- No one knew her boldness.
- No one knew her faith.
She believed, “If I can touch his robe it will be enough … I will be well!”
All of a sudden he stopped and said, “Who touched my clothes?”
The woman knelt at his feet trembling.
She confessed why she had done what she did.
He looked into her healthy face and confirmed, “Your faith has accomplished its mission.”
Her life changed forever.
Jesus turned to follow the anxious father.
