Thursday morning we were ten minutes late getting to work. It wasn’t the weather that made us late. It wasn’t the traffic. It was simply Ernie’s fault
Me: About what?
Ernie: The amazing thing is God knows my history and is familiar with all my ancestors.
Me: Hmm … okay.
Ernie: God could fill out my family tree in a flash.
Me: Yeah, I suppose so.
Ernie: God is intimately acquainted with my generation and the generation before mine and the generations before that.
Me: That is amazing.
Ernie: God is able to recall any moment of my family’s history.
Me: So?
Ernie: So obviously I am not a mystery to God.
Me: Yes?
Ernie: The Lord can spread out my life and examine all my details.
Me: Come on Ernie we’re going to be late.
Ernie: He scans my heart as if it’s a movie. I’m naked before God.
Me: Very interesting.
Ernie: Because this is so, God has my admiration; there is no one like God.
Me: Ernie we …
Ernie: Can anyone fathom God’s abilities?
Fortunately the boss didn’t see us come in late.
